About the artist
Jan Siebert (b. Germany) has spent three decades working across Latin America, where he has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in observation, immersion, and lived experience
His works capture urban tension, natural intensity, and dreamlike states,
opening a window into otherwise inaccessible environments.
Siebert lives and works in Brazil.
About the art
Siebert’s paintings are shaped by the faces and bodies of the people who crossed his path — strangers encountered in streets, favelas, bars, and remote villages. Working in the immediacy of the moment, he paints them as they are: unposed, unprotected, and deeply human.
His canvases hold their presence with a raw, dreamlike intensity.
